Zwar verfügt er über kompakte, feinkörnige Tannine und eine strukturierende Säure, aber er offenbart noch nicht den Glanz, den man von ihm kennt, sowohl im Auftakt als auch im Abgang. Die Größe ist natürlich da, aber der Wein positioniert sich nicht so klar und eindeutig wie gewohnt. Man sollte ihn auf jeden Fall weiterverfolgen, denn er hat noch lange nicht das letzte Wort gesprochen!"

I love the detail and delineation of this wine. The palate is medium-bodied with finely-sculpted tannins that frame the layered mineral-rich fruit. Supremely focused with a surfeit of tension on the finish, there's an abiding sense of harmony and completeness to this Saint-Émilion that feels draped in limestone. A wine befitting their eye-catching new château building."
